2025-9-19 Recent consltation for Argentine patients at Wu Medical Center

As summer gives way to autumn, today’s weather in Beijing is quite cool. Some patients from Argentina and Brazil, who are preparing to come to Wu Medical Center for treatment, held a video conference with the busy Dr. Wu and Dr. Wang to further discuss their medical conditions.

The patients in this consultation are primarily concerned with refractory and stubborn eye diseases such as optic nerve atrophy and retinal degeneration etc.. Currently, most treatments for eye diseases worldwide rely on traditional methods such as medication, local injections, and surgery, which have shown little to no effectiveness for these types of patients.

Dr. Wu and Dr. Wang are seasoned experts in stem cell clinical therapy and continuously refresh the understanding of refractory and stubborn diseases in the field of neuro-ophthalmology with their extensive medical knowledge and safe, effective clinical treatment experience and their own wisdom. Through more than 20 years of observation, patients with eye diseases from Argentina, such as Sebastian (ROP V), Brenda (ROP), Maria (ROP), Gianalla (Stickler syndrome), and Carlos (Leber Hereditary Optic Neuroretinopathy), who once lived in darkness due to their intractable eye diseases, are now able to live more independently. Some no longer require 24-hour care from family members and can lead nearly normal lives, even riding bicycles to attend school like other children, some can enjoy their daily work as normal individuals.
