The myasthenia started in the left leg in July 2010. Antonio went to the local hospital for treatment, but didn't receive a clear diagnosis. The symptoms gradually progressed and the myasthenia spread to the right leg. After this happened, he returned to the local hospital and even went overseas for treatment. He received hematologic testing and an EMG examination. The EMG examination showed that Antonio had Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. The symptoms gradually worsened. Eventually it became difficult for Antonio to walk or stand. About one month ago, a strange sensation in the pharynx developed.

During the admission examination, the respiratory sounds in both lungs were clear, with no dry or moist rales. Through auscultation it was determined that the heart sounds were strong and the heart rhythm was regular, with no obvious murmur. The abdomen was soft, with no pressing pain or rebound tenderness. The liver and spleen were not palpable. There was slight pitting edema on the upper surface of the feet. He had difficulty turning over.

During the nervous system examination, Antonio was alert, and he was in good spirits. His memory, calculation abilities and orientation were normal. There was slight atrophy in the biceps of the right arm and right deltoid muscle. There was obvious muscle atrophy in the bilateral interosseus and thenar muscle. The muscle strength of the right arm was level 5 and the muscle strength of the left arm was level 5-. The muscle strength of both legs was level 2. The muscle tone of all four limbs was normal. The bilateral biceps reflex and triceps reflex were normal. The right patellar tendon reflex was normal and the left patellar tendon reflex was not elicited. The bilateral Achilles tendon reflex was not elicited. The abdominal reflexes were normal. The bilateral palm jaw reflex and Hoffmann's sign were negative. The bilateral Babinski's sign was negative. Antonio could complete the rapid rotation test, finger-to-nose test and the digit opposition test normally. He couldn't complete the bilateral heel-knee-shin test or cope with the Romberg's sign examination.

Before the beginning of the stem cell treatment, Antonio received all of the relevant examinations and was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. He was given treatment in order to expand the blood vessels and nourishment for the neurons. He also received treatment to improve the body's immune system, blood pressure lowering medication and had the blood lipid level reduced. This was combined with physical rehabilitation training.

After the completion of the stem cell treatment, Antonio's condition had improved. The foreign object sensation in the pharynx had disappeared. The muscle strength of the lower back had improved. Antonio can now turn over by himself and stand easier. The muscle strength of both arms had been enhanced. The muscle strength of both legs had increased to level 5. Antonio can now raise the right leg off of the surface of the bed. The bending ability of the left knee had improved. There is passive adduction and abduction movement in both legs without any assistance. The flexing ability of both feet has improved.

Before Antonio went home, he said to us, "Before the treatment, I looked for treatment options on the internet for several hours a day, for more than 3 months. I eventually found information about Wu Stem Cells Medical Center. After I completed your stem cell treatment program, my overall physical condition had improved. I can now raise my right leg from the bed and can move both legs to a certain extent. I am full of hope now and I believe I will continue making progress."
