Before treatment:
The patient suffered from fever 4 and half years ago without obvious reason. 6 days later, the patient lost consciousness. He also had convulsions and epileptic seizures for more than 25 minutes. He was sent to ICU for first-aid. He received high intensity antiepileptic drugs for treatment of epileptic seizure. From that on, the patient lost cognitive ability, vision, language ability, swallowing ability and most of trunk movement ability. He was diagnosed with limbic encephalitis. He used more than 30 types antiepileptic drugs for treatment of epileptic seizure, the effect was good. The patient had one epileptic seizure every 2 or 3 days. The epileptic seizure lasted about 2 to 10 minutes. The epileptic seizure mainly was twitch of single side or both sides. He also had rapid eye movement, nausea and snore. He had one type epileptic seizure or many types of epileptic seizures. Before the treatment, the patient used Zonisamide, Depakine and Rufinamide to control epileptic seizure. But he still experienced many epileptic seizures. The patient suffered from aphasia and blindness. He also had swallowing difficulty. He had too much salivation, and saliva presented with white bubble. The cognitive function was poor. He could turn over, sit-up and stand. He could walk with touch his both hands.

Admission PE:
Bp: 104/68mmHg; Hr: 96/min, Br: 22/min. Temperature: 36.7 degrees. Weight: 19.5Kg, height: 121cm. There was no congestion or ulceration. The skin and mucosa were normal, with no yellow stains. Thorax was symmetrical. Through auscultation, the respiratory sounds in both lungs were clear with no signs of dry or moist rales. The heart sounds were strong and the cardiac rhythm was irregular, with no murmur in the valves. The abdomen was flat, with no masses. The liver and spleen were not touched under the ribs. The development of his four limbs and vertebral column showed no abnormalities.

Nervous System Examination:
Murray Zachary was alert. He suffered from speech disorders. Both eyes were blind. Both pupils were equal in size and round, the diameter was 4.5mms. Both eyes were very weak to light stimuli. The forehead wrinkle pattern was symmetrical. The bilateral nasolabial sulcus was equal in depth. He had swallowing difficulty. He had too much salivation. The neck could move freely. He could sit or stand. With assistance from one of his hands, he could walk passively. He had no urge to take steps. He could turn over by himself. Both hands could grasp and hold object. He couldn't cooperate with the examination of muscle strength of his four limbs. The muscle tone of both upper limbs was almost normal. The muscle tone of both lower limbs was higher than normal. Bilateral abdominal reflexes were elicited normally. The tendon reflex of both upper limb was normal. The patellar tendon reflex and tendon reflex of both lower limbs was not elicited.  Left side Babinski sign was positive. He couldn't cooperate with examination of deep sensation and shallow sensation. He also couldn't cooperate with the examination of coordinate movement.

Treatment:
We initially gave Marios Stamenas a complete examination, and he was diagnosed with Encephalitis sequela and Epilepsy. He received treatment for nerve regeneration and to activate stem cells in vivo. The patient received treatment to nourish the neurons and improve the blood circulation in order to increase the blood supply. He also receive treatment for enhance immunity. This was accompanied with rehabilitation therapy.

Post-treatment:
The patient's condition is better than before. He has swallow action. He can swallow 10ml of water slowly. He has the urge to take some steps now. The epileptic seizure was alleviated obviously. The dosage of the antiepileptic drugs, Depakine, has been reduced, reduced to 200 milligram every day.
